
The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, through the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and its craft promotion department, Fundesarte, announces the XIII edition of the National Crafts Awards, the purpose of which is to give institutional recognition to the most high level to those performances generally recognized as excellent and exemplary in the field of contemporary crafts. This call seeks to promote the development and competitiveness of small and medium-sized artisan companies, encouraging innovation, design and their ability to adapt to the market.
The 2020 National Craft Awards include the following categories:
- National Craft Prize: it is the prize in which the set of a consolidated work career in the crafts field is recognized.
- Product Award: for those products or collections made and marketed in the two years prior to the date of publication of this call.
- Entrepreneurship Award: it is the award intended to reward the entrepreneur or entrepreneurial company that has stood out for the introduction of new concepts in the sector in any of the areas related to it, product, distribution, marketing, design, etc., recognizing its ability to provide innovative solutions that have allowed it to position itself in the market.
- Promotion Award for Private Entities: private entities or organizations may apply for this award by presenting their programs, campaigns or initiatives to promote handicrafts completed, at least in the year prior to the date of publication of this call.
- Promotion Award for Public Entities: public entities or organizations may apply for this award by presenting their programs, campaigns or initiatives to promote handicrafts completed, at least in the year prior to the date of publication of this call.
