General presentation

I am a studio art jeweler working in precious metals, inspired by the natural world and my aim is to produce beautiful, wearable works of art. I have always been interested in art and this has developed into a passion for making jewellery. I was extremely fortunate to meet and be taught by Bill Wilson, who was a wonderful and generous teacher, to whom I am eternally indebted. On a trip to Florence I was captivated by an Etruscan style ring and this ignited my interest in learning both ancient and modern metalsmithing techniques. I love the tactile quality of precious metals. My inspiration is drawn from the beauty of natural forms, the legacy of the ancients and other cultures I have encountered during extensive travel. In 2015 I became a member of The Goldsmiths’ Company Directory. Courses Attended 2018 – Workshop in anticlastic raising, given by Prof. Jaime Diaz at el Taller de Joyeria, Barcelona. 2012 – Workshop in repoussé and chasing at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence. 2006 – Private tuition in alloy making, drawing down wire and metal weaving with Master Goldsmith Giovanni Corvaja in Todi. 2005 – Private tuition in Etruscan-style granulation with Master Goldsmith Giovanni Corvaja in Todi.
