Marble stucco is one of the most striking craft materials used in decoration.
It comes from the hands of skilled artisans who combine gypsum, glue and pigments to create an infinity of fake coloured marbles in a varied range of shades. Further effects can be obtained by merging different marbles or inlay.

Starting from a short historical introduction of the technique and its different applications, materials and tools, mixtures and their application in the different phases of spatula, smoothing and polishing will be dealt with.
The technique of composition and inlay will be also treated.

The course aims at providing knowledge of materials and mixtures, at the decoration of flat surfaces and columns and at the creation of architectural elements.
It consists essentially of practical modules. The teacher explains and performs the different processing steps involving actively the students, promoting interactive communication, creating a feeling of well being, increasing a sense of empathy in the group and enhancing individual specificity.

The course starts on Sunday 27th September at 9 am and ends at 1 pm on Saturday 3rd October 2020, training time from 9 to 13 in the morning and from 2 to 6 in the afternoon.

The course develops for 52 training hours, 8 hours/day from Sunday Sept. 27 to Friday Oct. 2 and 4 hours on Saturday morning, Oct. 3, 2020

The training course aims at restorers, artisans, freelancers and students.
The teacher will make the appropriate distinctions based on the individual knowledge and skills of the individual participants.
