The Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trades Leipzig is a public corporation and represents the overall economic and political interests of its approximately 12,000 member companies with 90,000 employees and 3,500 apprentices in the administrativ district of Leipzig.
It is the point of contact for all entrepreneurial concerns of the skilled crafts sector, from business start-ups and business development to foreign trade consulting. In addition to legal and business advice, the tasks of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trades also include advising companies that offer apprenticeships, and advising apprentices and instructors on vocational training. Additional themes in which the Chamber is active on a cross-border basis or for interested parties from abroad are the recognition of foreign certificates, exchanges of apprentices and advice on trade fairs.
The Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trades is committed primarily to companies in the field of monument preservation and restoration as well as to the creative and arts and crafts of the region. In addition to our participation in the denkmal trade fairs in Leipzig and Moscow, we regularly organise international cooperation events such as CONTACT “denkmal” for companies in the field of monument conservation. In the field of arts and crafts, we are a partner of the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD / ETAK) and organise this event in the Leipzig region.
